A Motorhome/Caravan Technician is URGENTLY required initially on a temporary basis.
Duties will include routine servicing and repair of full touring caravans and the habitation side of motorhomes.
Although an experienced technician is sought, consideration will be given to persons with a proven qualification and work history from one of the following trades;
Vehicle mechanic
Electrician
Joiner
Mechanical Fitter
Start Date immediate.

Description:
A Joiner is required initially on a temporary basis for our busy motorhome & caravan workshop in Carstairs.
Duties will include dismantling and repairing damaged wood work, re-panelling and re-building motorhomes and caravans, repairing damp (water ingress), repairing damaged floors and repair/replacement of interior furnishings.
Duties will also include an element of non related work (replacing simple body panels such as bumpers, windows etc), and assisting workshop technicians when required.
Although beneficial, experience working with motorhomes and caravans is not essential.
Own tools required.

Post: Trainee Motorhome Technician (Trained to NCC standards).

Duration: Temporary on 3 month trial period
Wage: Will meet national minimum wage
Description:
A good general standard of education is required, as a good mental aptitude is necessary for completing the qualifications. Driving licence essential. Some physical work will be involved. The position will be training towards national recognised qualifications within the industry for the service, repair, installation and maintenance of leisure vehicles. including motor homes and caravans. Will be working towards qualifications relating to gas, electrics and the vehicle maintenance.
The position may become permanent following a 3 month trial period.
