The threat of fire in a Caravan/Motorhome is often overlooked.

How often do you see a caravan go up in flames?

Well, if you consider that a caravan has a greater ratio of combustible materials per square metre than almost any other type of dwelling, the risk of fire is high and you might think again.

Fire prevention is highly important, as is common sense!

Where possible, turn off your gas cylinder at night, use your electric heater instead.

Ensure that the rubber seals of the regulator, and the rubber hose leading from it, are in top condition, and that there are no cracks as these are potential weak spots where gas leaks could occur.

It is essential that all gas appliances in your caravan are checked regularly for any faults.
